So we did something unexpected a couple weeks ago. Bought a new car on about 6 hours notice. Not just a new-to-us car, a brand new car. I've been driving a 2003 Honda since 2005. It's got about 65,000 original miles on it -yes, I do live on a small island- and it is starting to get.....tired. Playing yarn chicken... and didn't even know it
Yarn chicken, for those unfamiliar with the term, is the race to get to the end of your knitting row/round/garment/art before you run out of yarn. Running out of yarn in the middle of a row when you've got more yarn waiting is mildly annoying, but an easy enough fix. Running out of yarn when you're not quite done with the garment -and there is no more yarn anywhere- is a sad and unpleasant game. Welcome to 2019! Working on getting this website finally up and running, (thanks, honey) since technology is not my strong point. Other projects include getting merchandise finished for the Lahaina Arts Society art fairs the next two weekends, planning for Maui Open Studios, and preparing for Art Maui. I also need to practice my adulting survival skills: obtaining groceries, walking and medicating the dog, and continuing my on going romance with the washer and dryer.
